So much time ....so little to do! Wait reverse that ...:D

This has been the week of some serious developments within the Packard household. So hold on to your hats folks, this post may get a little long!

For those of you who do not know, we have been on an endeavor to purchase a house for the past year. We have found and loved many houses, made offers that have eventually fallen through for one reason or another. Though we have the faith that our lives are lead by a higher power, it has still been a source of the "why me-s". Most recently we had an offer on a short sale house in Zillah. After four months there still was no word of bank acceptance. We have excellent jobs and credit and our offer was above asking price. (This country has got to get its mortgage situation figured out!) It felt like I wanted it so bad, almost to the point of pushing against the pricks. Any who, eventually we started to have some misgivings about the whole situation. Again we felt lead to start looking yet again! We made a deal to look at a minimum of ten houses. WE SAW SOME DOOZIES!

To make this story bearable, WE FOUND OUR FOREVER HOME! Oh how blessed we are that we have been lead to this point. We finally found the house that meets ALL of our criteria. Meaning that Andrew gets what is important to him, I get what is important to me and there is room for our family to grow. Talk about a win win situation. The offer is accepted and we start the inspection process today. This is the part of the post where I would normally post a picture for everyone, but we as of now do not have one. Yesterday I wanted to take a Sunday drive and just snap a quick picture...no harm no foul. Andrew reminded me however that with people still living there it might seem kind of stalkerish. I can see the point....:D. So today, at the inspection we will snap as many as possible. I cant wait to have company over! Thanksgiving anyone?
In other news we have had some new developments in the land of Emilee this week. That is right folks, my little girl is now sitting and army crawling. The world is no longer safe.....and I need to keep my floor way cleaner! I also thought it was important that Jaxson still knows how to sit, he has been doing this for many years. :D
Jaxson has been quite the character lately. I think that though this has been the toughest age so far, it is by far the funniest age. He is always making little quips that keep me cracking up for days. For example not but the other morning I went to his bedroom to wish him a good morning. "Oh man mom do NOT try to kiss me! You have poisonous apple breath!" I must admit that I am still laughing. Honestly, poison apples? Been watching a little to much Snow White lately? I love the mind of a child and I find it sad that we loose that as we get older.
This week Jaxsons class participated in an event at the junior high school. While the Star Spangled Banner was sung the children used sign language for the words. He was one proud boy. For days he would go around singing or making me sing while he signed. He never quite got all the words and still sings "And the rockets are big, when they burst in the air." How does that not bring an automatic smile to your face? I did take a video on my cell phone but the file is to large to upload so for now......a poor quality pic will have to do.

Funny Valentines

So check out my sweet little valentines! How awesome is it that A). My son will wear a pink shirt and B). I found a heart dress in a bag of girls clothing......the whole bag was ten bucks. Big shout out to Craigs list.
We survived this oh so pink holiday without a hitch. Normally I go all out with a pink everything breakfast including decorations. However, working the night before delayed the breakfast to dinner time, but pink pancakes and eggs were still had! Jaxson worked so hard to complete his valentines for class but man it was a challenge. I had to keep telling him if he wanted them he needed to finish them. " But mom my teacher said you need to do it." HAAAA yeah boy I did not just fall off the turnip truck. It is amusing what my son thinks I should do for him. He came home wearing a "love bug" hat and said "MOM....guess what I am?" "ummm....a love bug?" Well he was shocked that I knew what a love bug was and kept talking about how smart I am. I will be very sad the day he is no longer impressed with my knowledge! He has a way of making me feel good about myself.
And now for little Nostalgia:
The older I get the more I seem to reflect on the happenings of my childhood. With each holiday my thoughts are consumed with past memories of the awesome times my mom st rived to create. With two kids of my own I also want to create special lasting memories. I would like them to grow up remembering something other than Christmas.
My mom rocks basically. On ground hogs day we would have a spaghetti dinner on the floor that she required us to eat with our hands behind our backs. It was so fun, messy and a lasting memory. For valentines day we always had some little trinket waiting on the table for us. It always made me feel special. I strive to live up to her example.

Welcome to the world..... third rock from the sun?

Well, I have finally went and done it. Yes folks, I have entered the blog sphere. Now as to if it is successful, that has yet to be determined. This has to be but the fifty bagillionth time I have created a blog, only to get frustrated in the creation process and quit. Why is a blog more like physics and less like Facebook? Please note I am a SCIENCE major, not an English major! Poor grammar is one area in my life that I effortlessly succeed!

Recently I decided the pictures are stacking up and my family awesome so why not share! For my first item of business, I figure an attempt should be made to document the awesomeness that was the last two years of our lives. SO SO SO many happenings and changes. A marriage, move, new jobs, crazy new city, new friends and homesickness (if that is even a word).

In downloading our pictures, I have come to the conclusion that any one crazy enough to steal our camera would at least be in for a good laugh. Allow me to show you what a good 200+ of the 400 pics on my camera consist of.....

Personally I found that hilarious......Vogue baby! He reminds me oh so much of my little sister who is constantly taking sideways pics of herself. The apple never falls far. Can you believe there were at least ten different angles of that train. I give the kid points for finding perspective.
