Spine, Swine, Twine, Dine, NINE!!!

I feel like every year I say the same old thing. "How did I get so old? How did he get so old? OLD, OLD, OLD!" Well, here is a shocker, this year was no different. I remember when Jaxson was born...  I was the ripe old age of 19. I remember thinking that when he was 10, I would be 29. To the 19 year old me, that was old! Like OLD, OLD or as I am sure I would have called it, Old Ballz status. Yet, here we are, one year to that age and I still feel 19.
I cannot believe all the things that have happened since that day. I never knew how much his little soul would change my world. I am so thankful for my sweet Jaxsie Pants.

Andrew worked really hard to create this beautiful cake. Very similar to the original! Pinterest NOT fail.

Jaxson and I scoured the ol'  Pinterest to find the ultimate birthday cake. That may have been an optimistic vision and Jaxsie wanted some form of a deluxe professional cake.  After reminding him of his fathers skills, we settled on this creation! It is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The outside is Kitkats and Oreos...delish!

Here is the handsome birthday boy himself.  9 looks really good on you Jaxson.

I started out the day very optimistic about my picture taking skills. The plan was to take a picture of every present that he would get. Sounds easy right? Well, not exactly. In our family we have this tradition of giving a present every hour, on the hour for a total of hours equal to the persons age. This was an idea that I had last year for Jaxsie and it was ALL he could talk about as his birthday approached.

So for hour number one, Jaxson received my favorite childhood game, Lemmings. "Boy do I love that game!" says Jaxson.

I ended up having to work the night before his birthday. I strategically gave this present so that he would be entertained for a few hours.  I gave Jaxson the option to get presents from Andrew while I was sleeping. He chose Jaxson to take a four hour break from presents so that I could get some sleep. I love this kind considerate nine year old of mine.

As soon as I woke up, we were back at present time. I found this art set on Amazon for a STEAL!! Jaxson has quite the talent for drawing.  (Also, can we talk about hoe freaking cute Emilee is? She loves her brother)

He also received some how to sketch books, Minecraft book set, Minecraft Legos, Steve Lego action figure, misc Lego pieces, and Oreos, I did the whole thing for a $100 dollars. Doing the whole, one present on the hour, MUST be done on a budget!
Where are all the pictures of these fabulous presents? Remember my optimism? Yeah, that dream quickly died. All my efforts were concentrated on staying awake.

We were lucky to have Uncle Erik over for the birthday dinner. Emilee loved walking around in his fancy man boots.

Andrew made a Thanksgiving feast that was delish.

Happy Birthday Jaxson!
We love you!
